Job Summary
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Develops scope and sequence for elementary world language program • Plans and provides world language learning experiences for students at elementary level • Develops and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/or visual Instruction of students with wide range of mental, physical and emotional maturity • Provides whole-group/small-group instruction designed to motivate and meet student needs • Establishes and maintains standards of student control required to achieve effective participation in all activities • Evaluates student language progress and keeps appropriate records • Provides appropriate instruction and activities for students to meet school/District policies, goals and objectives • Collaborates with classroom teachers to create world language program that makes connections across content areas • Communicates with parents through a variety of means • Creates an effective environment for learning • Maintains professional competence through inservice education activities provided by the District and/or professional growth activities and university courses • Participates cooperatively with the appropriate administrator to develop the method by which s/he will be evaluated in conformance with District guidelines • Selects instructional materials appropriate for world language program • Cooperates in school-wide supervision of students during out-of-classroom activities, when possible

CREDENTIAL: A valid and appropriate California Teaching Credential in compliance with the provisions of Title 5, California Administrative Code, Sections 80002-80127 and California Education Code, Sections 44000-44665. A Fingerprint Certificate of Clearance from the Department of Justice EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree including all courses to meet credential requirements. EXPERIENCE: Required: Student teaching, Internship, or full-time teaching experience. Preferred: Experience teaching world language
