A demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of community groups and organizations is essential. We are seeking a team builder and creative problem solver with a deep understanding of the connections between Justice Equity Diversity Inclusion (JEDI), Liberation and Education. We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and visionary educators who are committed to participating in the creation of a transformational school system based on culturally and linguistically sustaining pedagogy, equity, inclusion, social & environmental justice, project based learning, arts integration, lesson study, cycle of inquiry and professional learning communities, arts integration and inclusive practices for SPED students. We offer class sizes of 17:1 K-3 and 20:1 4-8 with support from a Student Success Coach (paraprofessional) for two hours daily. Art and PE prep and two hours of teacher collaboration time are provided weekly. We operate a Learning Center model with many opportunities for inclusion. In responding to the first desegregation order in CA in 50 years, we unified two schools into one PK-8 school with an upper and lower campus. It is our intent for this school to be a blue print for integration and transformative education that removes the intersectional barriers to education for BIPOC, Low income, English Language Learner, Homeless and Foster Youth, and students with special needs.
