DEFINITION Assist the Principal in maintaining a positive and safe school environment by monitoring student behavior outside of the classroom; identifying and implementing intervention strategies; enforcing school and District rules; and coordinating safety efforts with District personnel, public safety service providers, and the community.

High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of one year of course work in the area(s) of sociology, psychology, communications, education, and/or child/youth development. Course work may be replaced by demonstrated experience and training reflective of the same knowledge and abilities. Minimum of 2 years experience working directly with children and/or youth in an environment requiring excellent skills in problem identification and problem solving, negotiation and mediation, and behavior modification and management in a collaborative environment. Live scan, First Aid/CPR Certification, and TB test are required upon being hired.
