Job Summary
6 hours/day DEFINITION: The school Health Specialist, under the general supervision of the Director of Student Support Services and under lead direction of the school nurse, provides case management and follow-up services to students. The Health Specialist will routinely assist nurses with health screenings, assist in maintaining school records, and work with community resources and families to access and receive needed health care and follow up.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent or greater. Prefer LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse). Demonstrate ability to work with staff, children and parents. Experience in health services preferred. Flexible, punctual and possessing ability to work well independently with autonomy and is a self-starter. LICENSE/CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS Valid California driver’s license Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate (or obtain within first 60 days of employment)
