Willow Creek Academy- a K-8 public charter school located in Sausalito, California is seeking energetic, dedicated and reliable team-players for it's After-School Program weekday afternoons between the hours of 1:30-6:30pm starting the week of August 19th, 2019. Willow Creek Academy serves the students of Sausalito and Marin City. Founded by a group of dedicated parents and community members, Willow Creek opened its doors in September 2001. Like most charter schools, our community created Willow Creek to add a strong public school choice for families in our area. We now serve about 400 students in grades K-8 on an expansive 14-acre campus set in Marin County. The Willow Creek Academy campus is nestled on a wooded hillside in Sausalito, with views of Richardson Bay. We have large classrooms, a multipurpose room, play structures, a basketball court, art and music rooms, and an organic garden. Willow Creek is fortunate to have an extraordinarily diverse student body in various ways: socio-economics, family structure, race and ethnicity, religion, home language, learning differences and more. As a result, students of a variety of backgrounds and beliefs learn to work together and support each other. The Willow Creek After-School Program provides an opportunity to expand learning outside of school, including components of academic achievement, organized sports, outside play, art, culture, science enrichments, and developmental asset building - allowing students to practice curiosity, critical thinking, and citizenship skills in a fun environment. As an optional enrollment program, our After-School Program expects a high standard of ethical conduct in all areas from both staff and students and serves up to one hundred children daily.
