-Valid and appropriate California Driver's License or ability to obtain within one (1) month of employment. - Two (2) years of experience working with small groups or individual students. -Must demonstrate Highly Qualified status using the following education requirements: • Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent AND any one of the following: - Completion of two (2) years of higher education study (48 semester units or 72 quarter units) - Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher degree - Passage of a Fontana Unified School District (FUSD) approved Paraprofessional Exam or possession of an FUSD approved Paraprofessional Certificate. (See www.fusd.net for details) Don't meet any of the three NCLB requirements? Don't worry! Once you apply, we will help you qualify through our NCLB testing opportunity. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION: Experience working with students in any of the core subject areas.
Under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, the law requires that paraprofessionals who assist in classroom instruction must meet the specific educational requirements listed above.
