About the Employer

We are a family of TK-12 personalized learning public charter schools, which means we provide the curriculum, materials, and support for students to complete assignments independently. Our online curriculum software is Flex Point for grades 6-12 and Accelerate for TK-5. We hold on-site classes and one-on-one and small group meetings and classes at our learning centers. Teachers are responsible for teaching online courses and advising a caseload of up to 27 students, depending on other teaching responsibilities. Our Education Specialists are responsible for a caseload of 28 students. Each student is required to meet with their teacher/advisor as needed to turn review progress and work completion, get feedback, and review upcoming assignments. Sometimes students require additional support and/or meetings to be successful and some choose to come to our learning centers to complete their school work. Our program offers a way for those students with barriers or that are behind in credits to achieve success. The mission of Olive Grove Charter School is to prepare students with the skills necessary to self-advocate, communicate effectively, utilize technology responsibly, and pursue higher education or the workforce on their path to becoming successful adults. With the supportive leadership of their parents/guardians, credentialed teachers, and support team, our students utilize a rigorous, standards-based, online curriculum.
