Requirements / Qualifications

Required Documents/Attachments: * Two (2) letters of recommendation which must be current, dated within the last 24 months. Letters from relatives are not acceptable. * Typing certificate, minimum typing speed of 45 net wpm. (See requirements listed.) * Proof of education equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade. REQUIREMENTS: Pass the District Clerical Test. Submit with the application a typing certificate for 45 net words per minute on a 5-minute timed test from an accredited school or agency. Certificate must be current, dated within the last twenty-four (24) months. Online certificates or emailed test results from typing websites will not be accepted. One (1) year or more of responsible clerical duties. School district experience desirable. Education equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade. A combination of training and experience may be substituted for formal education. The Division of Human Resources requires a typing certificate from an accredited school or agency, dated no earlier than twenty-four (24) months before the posted closing date. The typing certificate must be attached to the EdJoin application. Human Resources will not accept online certificates or e-mailed test results from typing websites. Typing test requirements and a partial list of local agencies that provide typing certificates can be accessed using the provided link, “Typing Test Requirements & Locations (Updated 08/2016)”. The typing certificate must contain the following information: - Agency’s official emblem - Address and telephone number of agency - Signature of person certifying the certificate - Date of certificate - Name of applicant - Number of correct (net) words per minute typed during a five- (5)- minute timed test. (The certificate must indicate it was a 5-minute test, and the score must be identified as net or corrected words per minute.)

All application materials for each applicant will be evaluated by a screening committee. A combination of written, oral, and performance tests may be administered to secure the best qualified applicants. Those who are deemed best qualified will be scheduled for an interview. All applications (outside and in-house) along with required attachments must be submitted online through EdJoin.org no later than 4:30:00 PM on the closing date. Paper, e-mailed, or faxed applications and required attachments will not be accepted. The two (2) letters of reference or recommendation must be current, dated within the last 24 months. Letters from relatives are not acceptable. Applicants must complete all three (3) Professional References within the application; references from relatives are not acceptable.
