St. Vincent de Paul High School seeks an energetic science teacher in the subject area of Chemistry.
Teacher will perform a full range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Prepare and deliver lessons related to but not limited to General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Thermochemistry, Chemical Bonding, Molecular Geometry, Gases, Acids, Electrochemistry, and Nuclear Chemistry.
- Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
- Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and method of instruction.
- Plan, teach, and supervise students’ laboratory work.
- Evaluate and grade students’ class work, lab performances, assignments, and papers.
- Meet with parents, teachers, mentors, and other professionals when necessary.
- Attend faculty meetings and other activities deemed mandatory by Administration.
- Prepare AP Chemistry students for the AP exam in May.
- Maintain good order and discipline among the students and safeguard their health and safety.
