Requirements / Qualifications
Must have a valid driver's license and certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or the Educational Interpreters Performance Assessment (EIPA)
Facilitates communication between deaf or hearing-impaired students and teachers, staff members, and peers within an educational environment, using any of a variety of manual and verbal communication systems in a highly proficient manner reflecting the affect of the speaker and/or signer.

Comments and Other Information
Any combination equivalent to: An Associate’s degree or equivalent, successful completion of a sign language interpreter training program, a valid certification by the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or Educational Interpreters Performance Assessment (EIPA) and two years of experience providing sign language services.
