POSITION DESCRIPTION: The job of Middleware Engineer is done for the purpose of coordinating projects for the Division of Information Technology Services (ITS). The incumbent will analyze and solve complex ITS issues by relying on an extensive knowledge of enterprise web applications, services, systems and supporting technologies. The Middleware Engineer will also interact with a wide range of technical and non-technical staff to unify the work of the training, programming and technical groups to ensure effective project outcomes. This position is designated as a classified management position and is part of the Management Leadership Team. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience with middleware, server administration, or programming REQUIRED EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in information systems, computer science, management information systems, education, social science or related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
