Requirements / Qualifications

Must hold a valid California Teaching Credential. Must have taught Kindergarten through 12th grade. Must have delivered instruction to English learners within the classroom setting. Must speak, read, and write English fluently. Must have a CLAD or BCLAD certification. Fluency in second language (Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese) is desirable, but not required. Possession of a valid and appropriate California driver’s license. Must be available December 18th and 19th as well as February 5th through May 18th.

December 13, 2017 - May 11, 2018. Employment time will vary within the testing span. There is no employment guarantee for the entire testing period. Working hours will vary from 5 hours to 8 hours (hours will vary day to day). POSITION DESCRIPTION: Work with Administrators and ELD Instructional Specialist to administer the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) to English learners. Attend in-services related to the administrations and scoring of the ELPAC, monitor students, score tests, document results, and maintain testing logs. Work with students and adults having non-limited and fluent English speaking abilities.
