REQUIREMENTS: • Education: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in customer service, help desk, or technical support. Experience supporting web-based applications. CSIS Client Support Technician and experience with PC platform. • Experience: AA or AS degree required. Work experience resulting in an equivalent knowledge base may be substituted for the degree requirement on a year for year basis. The following additional documents must be uploaded via EDJOIN.org by the filing deadline in order to be considered in the hiring process (pertains to current employees also): • Proof of education (i.e. college transcripts, copy of college diploma) A scanner to upload required documents is available in the Human Resources office located at 1300 17th St., Bakersfield, CA 93301. • The documents will be scanned and emailed to the candidate. Sick leave accrued from another California K-14 public educational agency in the State of California may be transferred to the Kern County Superintendent of Schools Office. Fourteen holidays are observed as paid days each fiscal year. Generous vacation and sick leave benefits are provided. Prepaid medical, dental, vision, and counseling plans provided for employee and family. Prepaid life insurance policy provided for the employee. Employees of this office are not covered by Social Security, but do have mandatory retirement coverage with California Public Employees Retirement Systems (CalPERS). IMPORTANT COMMENTS: • All candidates will be notified by email throughout the hiring process. • Each candidate’s application papers will be thoroughly evaluated and ranked by a screening committee appointed by the Kern County Superintendent of Schools. Candidates achieving a rating of 70% or better will qualify to continue in the eligibility screening process. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and possession of a valid California Moto Vehicle operator’s license which must be maintained for the duration of the assignment. Fingerprint clearance by both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met. Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter, as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act.
