The Loss Control Analyst develops, implements and evaluates loss control and safety programs relating to fire, student, public, occupation, motor vehicle, and physical plant safety. Education and Experience Required: Any combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree in business administration, occupational safety and health, risk management or closely related field, and a minimum of two years of professional experience in a similar position performing comparable scope of duties and responsibilities. For example, applicants who do not possess a bachelor's degree as described above must have additional qualifying experience such that related college-level coursework and experience equals a total of six years. Experience in public entity loss control programs is highly desirable.

          Examination process: Completed applications are reviewed and candidates who meet the minimum qualifications participate in the following examinations: Tuesday, November 7, 2017- Performance examination, weight: 50% and Qualifications Appraisal Interview, weight: 50% The competitive basis for this recruitment is established as dual certification: candidates who pass all exams are placed on an eligibility list in order of overall exam score. The list is used to fill current and future vacancies for six months. Veterans may be eligible for preference points on examinations. Please attach a copy of your DD214 to your application. Employment with SDUHSD is contingent upon successful completion of post-offer background check, fingerprinting, physical exam including tuberculosis, drug and alcohol screening, and an Oath of Allegiance. Probationary period for a new or promotional employee is six months or 130 days of paid service, whichever is longer. Management employees serve a probationary period of one year.
