Under general supervision, the Kitchen Aide performs a variety of job functions essential to the successful operation of the FSP (Food Service Program) while following federal, state, and local guidelines. The job functions include food production; sanitation, safety and security; customer service; program regulations and accountability; equipment use and care; transportation of meals and food service supplies and professional excellence. Receives supervision from the Director of Food Service and the Kitchen Manager.

Completion of the 12th grade or equivalent
Must possess valid Ca driver's license
Experience with food service, food safety, money handling, and children desirable
Valid food safety certification or must possess after three months of employment
Ability to maintain accurate records, reports, operate and maintain various food service equipment and computers
Ability to exert up to 60 lbs of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
