The mission of the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) is to ensure that all students are equipped with the competencies they need to thrive in the 21st century. OCDE is a public education organization offering support services to 27 school districts and more than 600 schools and 20,000 educators serving over 500,000 students in Orange County. The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) is seeking a talented Director, Instructional Services- Early and Expanded Learning Programs to organize, plan, coordinate, lead, and participate as a team member in order to meet the diverse educational needs of Orange County students, as well as the individual needs of districts, teachers, administrators, community members, and parents. The Director’s primary focus will be on directing activities and services related to: After School Programs, Child Care Services, Early Learning and McKinney-Vento Homeless Education. Education, Training and Experience: The talent that we are seeking would likely be developed by at least six years of responsible education experience including three years of leadership in public education. A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university and valid California Teaching Credential and Administrative Credential are required. A Doctorate degree is desired.
