Basic Function: The position of the District Library Media Center Assistant is to provide support for quality library and computer learning lab services. This position provides support and assistance to staff, parents, community members and students. The Library and Learning Center Assistant works under the direction of an assigned Principal. They perform a variety of functions involved with the assistance of circulation and distribution of text books, instructional materials, and audio-visual materials. They also perform a variety of functions and duties involving the computer learning lab computers and equipment; assist students and teachers using library/media resources. Requirements: Graduation from high school and one year experience working in a library or instructional environment. Must have A.A. Degree or 48 Semester College Units, or otherwise meets the requirements of No Child Left Behind (NCLB Certificate)
