Behavior Intervention Therapist at ALLEN Inc. (Old Cat3 Account)
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: B.A in related field and 2-3 years’ experience in Applied Behavior Analysis or providing Behavior Supports within a Public Special Education Classroom REQUIRED. Duties and Responsibilities: Implement positive behavior support techniques within classroom/school environment. Observe environment to determine where adjustments can be made within the classroom. Provide client with visuals to keep on task/ reminded of expectations and rewards. Provide client with appropriate means of communicating needs/ or identifying frustration. Redirect client from inappropriate/or off task behaviors (reminding what they are working towards, or distracting with conversation they find meaningful). Facilitate play and/or social interactions during recess and lunch times. Understand and implement BIP(s) if they are in place, for each client. Take qualitative, quantitative and ABC (when needed) data for each client's program every session. Participate in all required trainings/staff development days. Required Staff Training and Continued Education: Complete 25 hours of Initial Behavior Intervention Training utilizing on Relias Learning Platform. Complete and maintain current standing in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI). Complete annual Mandated Report Training.
