FWS - Support Technician

Summary:

Student worker will assist in general office duties including answering phones, filing, and giving out program information, assist faculty and staff in helping students in the Applied Technology Learning Center. Must have the ability to work with a diverse student population.

Duties: FilingProviding program informationOffice coverageMail pick-up/deliveryAssisting students in the Applied Technology Learning CenterPhotocopying and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:Student must have in possession of a Federal Work Study award letter for the 2017/2018 academic yearStudent must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 unitsStudent must have a minimum of 2.0 GPAAbility to follow directions in order to carry out the duties as assignedFamiliarity with various tools and/or have completed some courses in Aeronautics, Auto Collision, Auto Repair, Diesel, HVAC/R, Electrical/Electronics, Machining, Water, or Welding programs preferred.Desired Qualifications:Ability to communicate well with students, faculty, and staffPunctual and reliableAbility to follow directions carefullyMust have the desire to learn and practice office skills and procedures with minimum supervision.

Hours / Salary:

Maximum of 15 hours per week

Schedule varies (between 7:30 AM thru 10:00 PM) Monday - Friday

$10.50 per hour
