Requirements / Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma required; 1-2 years of experience functioning as a lifeguard in a similar work environment required; Previous experience in aquatic management to include training in facility, equipment, and personnel supervision preferred; must be 21 years old or older; familiar with CA Code of Regulations for swimming pools preferred; flexible schedule required. Qualified candidate must also possess a current and valid Lifeguarding Certification from a nationally recognized certifying body; certified Lifeguarding Instructor preferred; must possess a current and valid Water Swim Instructor certification from a nationally recognized certifying body; Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred; CPR, AED for the Professional Rescuer, Oxygen Administration and First Aid Certified.

Competency test will be administered to all qualified applicants. Upload attachments named exactly as stated (ie. Letter of Recommendation). Must upload the required documents AND complete the Target Classified Sketch at the end of the application or you will not be considered for this position. Allow up to 45 minutes to take the Classified Sketch.
