Middle/ High School Mathematics Teacher Stanbridge Academy is a caring, inclusive K-12 school for students with mild to moderate learning differences and social communication disorders. Stanbridge Academy seeks a talented, versatile, and engaging middle school mathematics teacher. Class sizes are small (usually eight students and one teacher) to accommodate the needs of diverse learners. In addition to a strong, standards-based academic program, Stanbridge emphasizes the development of social thinking skills, executive functioning, and positive self-concept. Successful teachers at Stanbridge match enthusiasm for subject matter with a strong interest in building meaningful, trusting relationships with students. Desiring applicants who are interested in working with students who struggle in math, confident in their ability to develop skills and understanding in students who are, at times, significantly below grade level in math. Required for this position: Two years teaching experience in upper elementary, middle school, or high school Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field A California or out-of-state teaching credential Experience with special needs populations Willingness to differentiate instruction, think outside the box, and teach in a variety of ways in an effort to reach students who struggle to learn Willingness to attend 1-2 overnight trips per year with students Confidence with the use of technology as instructional support Calm, even temperament, and a great sense o

Requirements / Qualifications
We require a bachelors degree in a field related to teaching Math at the MS or Ha level. A graduate degree is preferred. We seek faculty who are knowledgeable and will be able to demonstrate the use of assistive and educational technology into the learning/teaching process.
