Comments and Other Information

Experienced educators, please consider sharing your expertise in a unique program founded by nonprofit agency Aspiranet and focused on social-emotional and academic growth. At Fusion Charter, expect to collaborate with creative, compassionate, forward-thinking educators in teaching and mentoring students who have experienced trauma, irregular school attendance and credit deficiency. Fusion's welcoming school culture and universal supports help young people on the path toward high school graduation and healthy and productive adulthood. Fusion Charter is seeking fully-credentialed teachers to facilitate learning in a nurturing hybrid independent study program serving students from grades 7 through 12. Due to the program characteristics, interns are not eligible for this position. Both multiple-subject and single-subject credentials will be considered for a candidate who effectively uses online curriculum and project-based learning to teach concepts in beginning algebra and geometry (Integrated Math 1 level). Applicants must be proficient in the use of technology with small groups in the classroom and with individual students in remote learning. Both working and retired teachers are invited to apply for part-time or full-time hours without impacting previous CALSTRS because Fusion Charter participates in Social Security and Aspiranet retirement plans instead of CALSTRS. Full-time hours are 8:30 to 4:30. Part-time hours are flexible. The school year includes three teacher preparation days and follows all Turlock Unified School District holidays. For more information, see our website at www.fusioncharter.org or call the school office at 209-667-9047 to arrange a tour of the school.
