Napa High School Color Guard Coaching Position Position Title: Color Guard Instructor/Coach at Napa High School Color Guard is an after school program funded by the Napa High Instrumental Music Booster Club. We will start our 103rd year as a marching band/color guard. The Color Guard coach will play a key role in defining our next chapter as an organization. Description: The Napa High Color Guard is a subgroup of the Napa High Instrumental Music program directed by Mr. Riendeau. The Color Guard coach will be in charge of developing the choreography and teaching techniques for the team. This position will be responsible for the safety and welfare of all the students on the team. Additionally the applicant will be in charge of maintaining the Color Guard materials and uniforms. The practice schedule is flexible as determined by the Color Guard coach. Opportunities to articulate with the Marching Band and rehearse will be every other Tuesday (6:00PM-8:00PM) and/or Saturdays (9:00AM-3:00PM) during the Marching season. The Color Guard coach will schedule combined rehearsals with Mr. Riendeau as needed. Color Guard team practices will be scheduled by the Color Guard coach based on his/her availability. Requirements Applicant must be 25 years or older to chaperone (AR6153). Possess a clean driving history and record to be cleared to drive students Be successfully “live scanned” through NVUSD HR after hire to work with minors The pay is $29.98 per hour, not to exceed 39 hours for the Fall Season (August 1, 2017 to December 1, 2017). There is a possibility of extending the position into Winter Season (December 2017 - April 2018) with additional hours allocated.
