EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
AND
- one year clerical experience in an office setting with all of the following:
- Filing of documents both electronically and on paper.
- Computer knowledge to include Windows 7 or higher, Outlook 2007 or higher, Word 2007 of higher, Excel 2007 or higher, PowerPoint 2007 or higher, and Publisher 2007 or higher.
- Office equipment to include copier, printer, fax, scanner.

As the Kettleman City FRC Office Assistant you will model outstanding customer service to all stakeholders and you will be under the supervision of the Resource & Referral Manager. The Kettleman City FRC Office Assistant is responsible for working in a collaborative effort to provide educational and support services to enrolled families who are expectant mothers and/or families with young children, 0 – 5 years in the Kettleman City area and families in need of the Family Resource Center resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate a variety of office equipment including but not limited to: copier, computer, postage, fax and telephone.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the Family Resource Center. i.e prepare a wide variety of materials from rough draft or oral instructions and distribute as appropriate, file, answer phones, compile data for and prepare reports, maintain accurate program cords and freeform data entry, receive and deliver mail as appropriate.
- Maintain a variety of records files and logs; prepare new files folder according to First 5 scope of work.
- Preform program eligibility and intake as needed, review documents for accuracy and completeness to ensure clients meet families meet FRC program guidelines.
- Maintain and stock supplies for office and events for the FRC as needed.
- Greet all visitors and callers to the Kettleman City Family Resource Center provide appropriate referrals and information regarding services available at the center and in the community.
- Assists in the recruitment of families by conducting outreach with an emphasis on underserved linguistically isolated communities in Kettleman City, CA.
- Assists with the, coordination and provision of monthly coordinated services and family socialization events for the Kettleman City FRC families collaborating with the parents and community partners.
- Assist R&R Manager as required and/or requested for special projects and assignments
- Participate in staff meetings and attend other meetings and trainings as directed.
