Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination equivalent to: (1) High school graduation or equivalent; supplemented by courses in locksmithing and, (2) Three (3) years of journey-level locksmith experience in the keying, repair, and installation of locks, locking devices and other security equipment; experience in the maintenance and repair of Russwin locks preferred.
Written Exam is tentatively scheduled for June 22, 2017. Candidates will be notified by email if they are selected to attend the written exam. Candidates passing the written exam will be invited by email to an oral exam which is tentatively scheduled for June 26, 2017. The following items must be attached to be considered a complete application:
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (Current letter dated after June 1, 2016 and from a current supervisor or person who is familiar with your recent work performance)
- Resume

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director, Facilities Planning, Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation or designee, performs journey-level and semi-skilled duties in the installation, repair, and maintenance of District locks, doors, windows and related hardware; originates and duplicates keys; develops and maintains master and grand master key systems; may assist in the performance of skilled work in other related building trades areas as assigned.
