Comments and Other Information
Damien High School is looking for an additional instructor in the four-year Project Lead the Way Engineering Program. Training in the summer is required during the weeks of June 18-June 30 in San Diego. There will be additional classes in math or science available to complete a full teaching schedule. Availability to work with our excellent Robotics Program is essential. We are looking for an organized person who has the time to support this after school and weekend program. (Damien currently supports FIVE Robotics teams, three of which earned a spot in the world championship competition in April.)
Teacher must model all behaviors outlined in both the Faculty Handbook and the Employee Handbook for lay personnel of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. If not yet certified in Project Lead the Way engineering courses (specifically DE but POE would be a plus) a two week summer course is required. A stipend is provided for the training as well as room and board.
