Under the supervision of the Site Principal, this individual will plan, organize and implement appropriate instructional programs in a positive, structured learning environment that promotes and encourages students to develop the essential skills to reach their full academic potential. Provide small group and/or specialized academic instruction to students to meet the goals and objectives as developed in the Individualized Education Program (IEP). Assesses individual students to determine present levels of performance and develop goals and objectives to address the students’ needs. Serve as an IEP team member. Implement the IEP with appropriate lesson plans, materials, and classroom strategies. Meets and confers with parents, staff and Special Education Coordinator regarding the students’ performance, progress, and areas of concern.
