Criminal History and Background Check: The District and/or Police Department shall conduct a thorough background check on the candidate prior to appointment to a position within this class. The background check may include personal and professional reference checks, credit history checks, Social Security Number verification, professional license/registration verification, military service information and driving history. Information obtained in the course of this background check will be considered by the appointing authority in the selection process. In obtaining such information, the District will comply with applicable consent and disclosure practices in the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the California Investigative Consumer Reporting Agencies Act. The District and/or Police Department shall access all criminal history information on candidates who have accepted a conditional offer of appointment for this class. The District shall not consider for employment any candidate who has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor that relates to or impacts the candidate’s ability to perform the job duties of this class unless it is determined that mitigating circumstances exist. For purposes of accessing criminal history information, the candidate will be fingerprinted; a local and national criminal history audit will be conducted. Any subsequent arrest notification may be obtained.

EXPERIENCE Two (2) years of clerical experience involving the preparation and maintenance of records and schedules. Prior school security or dispatching experience highly desirable. EDUCATION High school graduation or equivalent. LICENSES Successful completion of the California Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) and the Public Safety Dispatcher Academy and training program. We serve approximately 28,000 students who come from families that speak 46 languages. Our district includes four comprehensive high schools, five middle schools and 28 elementary schools. Twin Rivers also offers families the option of two alternative high schools, two special education centers, an independent learning center, a community day school, an opportunity school, preschools, three dependent charter schools and Twin Rivers Adult School.
