Bosco Tech is a Catholic private, non-profit, college-preparatory school located in the San Gabriel Valley. We offer a unique science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) program to male high school students looking to qualify for 4-year college admissions in any of these fields. Our campus boasts over 75,000 square feet of classroom and lab space dedicated to teaching a wide variety of STEM courses. Our instructors bring their own university and career experiences into the classroom, using project-based learning to prepare our students for college and beyond.

Bosco Tech is seeking a dedicated and creative individual to serve as the school’s athletic director (A.D.) to manage and maintain the interscholastic athletic program. This position is full-time (12-month term). The FSLA status is exempt and the employee will report to the principal of the school. Depending on the applicant’s qualifications and the school’s current need, the A.D. will be required to teach at minimum 2 classes. Job Responsibilities: 1. The Athletic Director will coordinate and execute the school’s 10 athletic programs and Cheer Squad and schedule the school’s sports events. 2. Supervise and arrange the preparation for all home and away contests. 3. Supervises and evaluates performance of the program’s coaching staff and works with staff to supervise student athletes in accordance with all appropriate rules and regulations. 4. Is responsible for all athletic equipment and facilities. 5. The Athletic Director will prepare the athletic budget and administer it prudently. 6. Assist in the recruitment, selection, new hire, and performance appraisal of new athletic employees. 7. Will recommend and administer disciplinary action upon athletes as appropriate. 8. Maintain records and supervises eligibility of students. 9. Represents the school at meetings and conferences. 10. With cooperation of the CIF Southern Section Office, the A.D. arranges for game and meets officials. 11. The A.D. coordinates transportation for all away contests, games, and meets. 12. Performs other duties as requested

Skills: 1. The ability to operate a variety of office equipment including photocopiers, facsimile machines, and personal computers. 2. Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, Excel, Power Point, etc) and Google Suite for Business and Education. 3. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 4. Valid possession of a Class C driver’s license and demonstrates no serious driving violations to include felony offenses. Education: 1. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (minimal requirement). 2. A Master’s degree with a valid CA Teaching credential and Athletic Coaching Certification (preferred). 3. Knowledge of First Aid to athletic injuries and basic life support (CPR). Personal Characteristics: Able to communicate effectively and audibly to youth. Able to lift sporting equipment.
