Must include front & back of the card. •Copy of Transcripts (Copy of transcripts showing proof of Degree awarded along with date awarded). •Copy of transcripts showing 3 units infant/toddler development ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS: The following documents are not required at the time of application but will be required of the selected applicant prior to employment: Official transcripts, Department of Justice Fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis Skin Test clearance & Pre-Employment Physical/Drug Screen clearance. Must be at least 18 years of age.

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the Home Based Supervisor, facilitate healthy parent-child attachment and relationship- building, provide or arrange for comprehensive Head Start services (including education, health and safety, family support, nutrition, mental health, family engagement, and other services appropriate) for up to twelve (12) assigned families of prenatal, infant, toddler, and preschool children served in the home based option.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
AA/AS Degree Early Childhood Education or related field is required.
Two years’ experience in an instructional capacity in an early care and education program or experience related to provision of family and or health services in a home setting is preferred.
3 units infant/toddler development is required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Human Services or closely related field is desirable.
SB 792 (Mendoza) law:
Immunization Requirements: Influenza Vaccination, Measles and Pertussis required prior to employment with SCOE.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification.
Valid California Driver’s License.
Be insurable and maintain insurability.
May be required to provide own transportation.
Bilingual/Bi-literate skills are desirable.
Certification in Program for Infant/Toddler Care modules is desirable.
California Child Development Teacher Permit or higher level permit is desirable but not required.
BENEFITS: A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.
