Job Summary

Job Summary

Performs a variety of complex clerical and secretarial work. This position requires the individual to have advanced organizational and computer skills to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities. This position supports the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction and Professional Development. The Curriculum, Instruction & Professional Development department is responsible for TK-8th grade curriculum, instruction, and professional development. The Curriculum, Instruction & PD department works with district leadership, as well as school principals, learning directors and teachers to provide learning and support that leads to student achievement and success. The C, I & PD department is also responsible for multiple budgets and related documentation for instructional materials, supplies and professional development.

Requirements / Qualifications

This position requires advanced organizational and computer skills to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities. Requirements include: High School Diploma or its equivalent; Four (4) years of advanced secretarial or executive assistant experience; prefer typing at 60 words per minute; experience in use of office computer equipment and various software programs including developing and maintaining complex databases; correct usage of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; and ability to take and transcribe meeting notes with speed and accuracy. Ability to work independently utilizing excellent organizational and judgment skills. Strong accounting and knowledge of categorical programs and budgets is highly desired.
