The Teacher/Director will plan and implement themes/curriculum. Plan, assign and oversee monthly parent duties. Work closely with Licensing, and perform all duties associated with compliance regulations. Perform evaluations of children and parents twice yearly. Work closely with the board and parents of the Redding Cooperative Preschool. Teacher/Director duties begin mid-August and follow the Redding School District school calendar. The Teacher/Director shall work Monday – Friday, 8:15am-1:00pm. The Teacher/Director shall attend school functions and monthly parent meetings. The Teacher/Director is responsible for the successful implementation and supervision of the education of preschool age students.
The Redding Cooperative Preschool is seeking candidates for the Teacher/Director position for the 2017-2018 school year. The Redding Cooperative Preschool is a non-profit, non-sectarian, parent participation preschool featuring a variety of interactive experiences encompassing literature, science, physical education, arts, crafts, and music. The Redding Cooperative Preschool enrolls children ages 2 years, 9 months to 5 years old. Children are required to be fully potty-trained.The Redding Cooperative Preschool is licensed by the State of California. License # 45540122.
Requirements / Qualifications
Credential Requirements: * High school graduation or GED; completion, with passing grades, of 15 semester or equivalent quarter units at an accredited or approved college or university; and at least four years of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program. - Three of the 15 units required shall be in administration or staff relations. - Twelve of the 15 units required shall include courses that cover the general areas of child growth and development, or human growth and development; child, family and community, or child and family; and program/curriculum. OR * An associate of arts degree from an accredited or approved college or university with a major or emphasis in early childhood education or child development; and at least two years of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program. - Three semester or equivalent quarter units shall be in administration or staff relations. OR * A bachelor's degree from an accredited or approved college or university with a major or emphasis in early childhood education or child development; and at least one year of teaching experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program. - Three semester or equivalent quarter units shall be in administration or staff relations. OR
