- Innovative teaching style- able to work with collaborative groups in cooperative learning and project-based learning that dominates curriculum.
- Strong collaboration skills. Willing to work with teachers from multiple disciplines to design curriculum and support student learning and success.
- Willing to design and teach interdisciplinary curriculum with a focus on entrepreneurship and technology.
- Willing to work with and support students in interdisciplinary experiences (internships, projects, study trips, etc.).
- Willing to work with community partners in the classroom.
- Experience with project-based learning: a dynamic classroom approach in which students actively explore real-world problems and challenges and acquire a deeper knowledge.
- Willing to go above and beyond.
- Willing to try new things and learn through failures.
Requirements / Qualifications
2017/2018 (ELIGIBILITY POOL) Teacher, Mathematics 7-12 Secondary MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: California credential authorizing instruction of math at the secondary level. Must have English Learner Authorization and be NCLB Compliant. KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of and ability to implement the subject matter, philosophical, social, and educational concepts relative to the duties and responsibilities listed on this job description
