**The purpose of the Substitute Teacher is to fill in when a teacher is absent. The Substitute will provide career and technical instruction to students and other teacher related duties.** DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: *Application completely filled (no blanks) Record of Work Experience section must indicate start and finish dates, unless current employer. Reason for leaving and salary must be included. *Letter of Introduction (Must be in reference to industry experience) *Current Resume *Three (3) professional letters of recommendation, must be from past or present managers/supervisors (Must be dated within the past year.) ** Please note recommend letters from co-workers, family, friends or community leaders will not meet the requirements for professional recommendation letters.** *Copy of credential *Copies of college transcripts and/or high school diploma EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three (3) years industry experience. EDUCATION REQUIRED: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree highly desirable. CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES: Possession of a valid CA CTE 30-day substitute teaching permit or valid CA Designated Subjects or CTE credential. (See link on right for further credential information.) *Ability to obtain substitute teaching permit may be considered.* Valid CA Driver's License

CTE/ROP Substitute Teachers are needed for the following areas: *3D Animation and Design *Emergency Responder *Fire Technology *Healthcare/Medical Assisting/Pharmacy *HVAC *Warehouse Operations *Law Enforcement Occupations **Other various areas as needed. See link on right for industry sector information.** SUBSTITUTE RECRUITMENT: Interviews for substitute teachers will be conducted as needed throughout the year based on program needs. Email notifications will be sent to those who meet minimum qualifications. *ALTHOUGH WE CONTINUE TO ACCEPT APPLICATIONS, NOTIFICATIONS WILL ONLY BE SENT AT SUCH TIME THERE IS A NEED TO HIRE SUBSTITUTES.
