DOCUMENTS REQUIRED: *Application completely filled (no blanks) Record of Work Experience Section must be indicate start and finish dates, unless current employer. Reason for leaving and salary must be included. *Letter of Introduction (Must be in reference to position applying for.) *Current Resume *Three (3) professional letters of recommendation, must be from past or previous managers/supervisors. (Must be dated within the past year.) ** Please note recommend letters from co-workers, family, friends and community leaders will not meet the requirement of professional recommendation letters.** *Copies of college transcripts *Copy of Registered Nurse (R.N.) License *Copy of CPR Certification for American Heart/Health Care Providers
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of work experience in the technical skills, trade, or vocations to be taught are required. One (1) of the three (3) years of the required experience must be within the last five (5) years, or two (2) years within the last ten (10) years. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required. CREDENTIALS/CERTIFICATES/LICENSES: Possession of, or ability to obtain prior to employment, a valid California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching or Vocational Credential for the subject to be taught is required. (Refer to the Commission on Teacher Credentialing website at www.ctc.ca.gov for Designated Subjects Career Technical Education Teaching Credentials). CTEL certification or EL equivalent such as CLAD, BCLAD, or SDAIE must be completed during the first year of employment in this position or be part of a University credentialing program of study. (You must apply for annual waiver while completing University credentialing program of study until CTEL certification or EL equivalent is obtained through clear credential.) You must provide copies of credentials as required for the position or provide evidence of qualifying for required credential with your application materials. REQUIRED: Possession of, or ability to obtain prior to employment, Faculty Approval by the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians for teaching in a Vocational Nursing Program (not required at time of submitting application but will be needed prior to starting in class) Valid Registered Nurse (R.N.)
