Sierra School is a non public special education school located in Sacramento that serves students aged 4 to 22, in grades K–12+. Sierra School utilizes a unique instructional model, positive behavior modification techniques, and mental health services to increase academic awareness, develop social skills, and cultivate appropriate classroom behavior. Sierra students benefit daily from a California-approved, standards-aligned curriculum, from the attention and guidance of highly qualified teachers, and from low staff-to-student ratios.

Sierra School supports students with diverse challenges, including but not limited to: specific learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, autism spectrum disorders, cognitive deficits, and other health impairments, such as ADHD.

ESSENTIAL JOB Responsibilities INCLUDE:

• Assist Directors in Administrative responsibilities as needed

• Staff Management and Supervision

• Collaborate with Education Director(s) to schedule and obtain resources for applicable training

• Review relevant research on behavior topics and special education to keep abreast of developments in the field

• Attend relevant meetings (IEP meetings, team meeting..etc) and provide necessary documentation regarding student progress and planned intervention strategies

JOB DETAILS:

• Hours = 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

• 220 day work year – 12 month contract
