QD Learning is a project-based learning center located in Anaheim and Irvine area. We are currently looking for responsible instructor who can deliver public speaking training to students in grade K-8. 

The instructor's primary responsiblities include:

• collaborate with other instructors to refine lesson plans 
• deliver lessons 
• communicate with parents/administrators constantly
• contribute to program expansion
• coach students for speech tournament

The curriculum combines trainings on how to craft and organize different speech types (story, oratory, extemparenous, impromptu speeches) and learn/practice best practices in speech delivery. In addition, it includes leadership elements so students will learn how to organize and run meetings, fulfill different roles such as timer, evaluator to practice organizational, facilitation, listening skills and more. 

Students will also be encouraged to participate in speech tournament (typically once per semester). The flexible component of the curriculum is help student prepare events students will participate in the speech tournament. 

The class usually includes multi-grade/multi-level students (no more than 3 grades apart). The instruction needs to be differentiated for different levels. 

If you have taken communication classes and/or have been a Toastmaster member,  you will be a good candidate. 

The support you will get: 

• We will have the baseline lesson plans and will provide ongoing training
• You will work within a team. 

Location: 

• Our Anaheim Campus - 1086 N Tustin Ave, Anaheim CA 92807

Time: 

• Saturday Morning and/or Afternoon. The class is typically 90-min hour long. 

We also work with few schools around our Anaheim Campus. For schools, the class is usually 60 mins and hours are during after-school hours (normally 2:30-3:30).

* Must be responsible and reliable
* Must enjoy working with school age children
* Must be a self-starter and hard working
* Familiar with Project-based learning and a strong believer this will create a lot of values in student's learning.  
* Must be able to communicate effectively with students, teachers and parents regarding students' progresses
* Mentor and act as positive role model

Other Qualifications:
* Must be 18 years old with some college units and experience working with young children
* CPR & First Aide Certification
* Proof of TB Test (valid within the past 3 years from hire date)
* Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check)
