The Governing Board took action at the December 6, 2016 meeting to fill this vacancy with an appointment (BP 9223) (E 9223). In accordance with the approved process for filling this vacancy, the first step for interested candidates is to complete an application. In order to qualify, you must meet the criteria specified in Education Code 35107(a): any person who is 18 years of age or older, a citizen of the state, a resident of the school district, a registered voter, and who is not disqualified by the Constitution or laws of the state from holding a civil office, is eligible to be appointed to the Governing Board. Interviews will be conducted for all candidates who are successfully screened in at a Special Board meeting on Friday, February 3, 2017 starting at 4 p.m. If an applicant is selected for an interview, he or she will be contacted in advance of the Special Board meeting for their interview time.
