EDUCATION INTERPRETER II: Any combination equivalent to: High school diploma or equivalent, sufficient related experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above, and possession of a certification issued by RID or have achieved a score of 4.0 or above on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) or equivalent assessment. LICENCES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS A passing score on a proficiency examination for reading, writing and mathematics skills test of the County Office of Education.

          THE POSITION The Student Services and Support Division is now accepting applications for the Education Interpreter I/II position. Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, performs highly specialized language interpretation and translation services for students and staff in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHOH) program; serves as a member of the educational team. This position is for 11 months, 195 days, 5 days a week, 6 hours per day. PART TIME POSITION. HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS: The Office provides excellent health and welfare benefits including retirement contributions to the California Public Employees Retirement System (CALPERS); $20,000 term life insurance, and long term disability coverage; a choice between Anthem Blue Cross and Kaiser--with a variety of plan types, Delta Dental Insurance, MESVision coverage, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)--for employees and dependents; vacation, sick leave, and 15 holidays.
