Job Description: Bishop High School seeks an enthusiastic substitute teacher to cover full or half day assignments as and when needed (on an occasional basis) in all subject areas and grade levels within the school. The substitute teaching load is five periods per day. Candidates with part-time availability will be considered, for example undergraduate or post-graduate students. Bishop enjoys a collaborative and supportive academic environment focused on preparing students for intellectual engagement while in high school and in the years beyond. Teachers emphasize academic achievement, global citizenship, and strength of character consistent with Christian values in order to prepare students to make a meaningful difference in the world. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Classroom instruction and supervision based on provided lesson plans • Communication with classroom teacher on student performance and behavior • Collaborating with and supporting colleagues, attending meetings as needed • Adherence to policies stated in the staff handbook, including professional demeanor and dress Qualifications: • Teaching credential (preferred) or desire to enter the teaching profession • High standards and high expectations for students • Commitment to being a positive and contributing member of the professional community • The ability to be flexible Pay and Benefits: • The rate of pay is $175 per day (five periods)

Bishop High School seeks an enthusiastic substitute teacher to cover full or half day assignments as and when needed (on an occasional basis) in all subject areas and grade levels within the school. The substitute teaching load is five periods per day plus one 25-minute homeroom period. Candidates with part-time availability will be considered, for example undergraduate or post-graduate students.
