This is an Unclassified, temporary, intermittent position that will be site based. Individuals are hired/rehired annually by a school site. Individuals will assist school staff in the safety and well-being of students during lunch period and playground activities, and with the guarding of crosswalks. Supervise students during playtime and noon eating time; Maintain a harmonious atmosphere in eating area; Direct movement of groups to and from school; Guard street crossings; Organize groups for orderly dismissal from eating area; Help students develop and observe proper eating habits; Inform an attending teacher of any serious infraction of disciplinary rules; May give first aid when needed; Perform related duties as assigned.
