Requirements / Qualifications
Required Education and/or Experience: 1. High School Diploma or the equivalent; and 2. Two (2) years of college (48 units + ), or Associate's degree (A.A.) or higher; and/or two (2) years of experience working within a classroom setting, and 3. Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills, and 4. Demonstrate desire and experience working successfully with students exhibiting behavior problems in the classroom. Tutoring experience and/or working with students preferred.
Competency test will be administered to qualified applicants. Upload attachments named exactly as stated (ie. Letter of Recommendation). Must upload the required documents AND complete the Target Classified Sketch at the end of the application or you will not be considered for this position. Allow up to 45 minutes to take the Classified Sketch.

Under the direction of the Principal, the ACE will work directly with an assigned certificated teacher in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a classroom or other learning environment; assist teachers with the preparation of instructional materials; provide consistent behavior support and life skills instruction for students during lunch and recess duty.
