Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: • At least eight (8) years of successful full-time public school service in a certificated position(s), no fewer than four (4) years of which must have been in a leadership position(s) (e.g., organization facilitator, instructional coach) • A valid California Administrative Services Credential • An earned master’s degree or advanced degree of at least equivalent standard conferred by an accredited college or university • Completion of required Multicultural Education and Master Plan coursework* *Applicants have one year to complete this requirement. NOTE: All minimum requirements must be met on or before the filing deadline. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that appropriate documentation is on file with Human Resources. Primary Duties: Responsibilities: • Support the alignment of District instructional priorities and initiatives with human relations and educational equity strategies • Develop and present human relations professional development to schools, Local Districts, and Central Office staff on: • Bully Prevention and Intervention • Intergroup Relations • Conflict Resolution and Mediation • Diversity Awareness and Bias Reduction • Affirming and Learning Working Environments • Coordinate intervention services with schools and local districts following critical incidents or intergroup conflicts • Design, coordinate and implement District-wide initiatives and campaigns to address emerging areas of concern • Coordinate and support the implementation of human relations and violence prevention programs • Coordinate the Intra-District Human Relations and Bully Prevention collaboratives (including General Counsel, LASPD, Student Health and Human Services) • Coordinate Human Relations symposiums and conferences utilizing community and professional resources • Coordinate community-based Human Relations resources • Serve as expert witness for Human Relations concerns in media, public relations events, judicial hearings, and court proceedings • Coordinate the development of and assist in the assessment and mediation process for intergroup conflict • Collect, analyze and utilize data for short and long- range planning and program evaluation to measure effectiveness, inform professional development and propose modifications in systems and designs • Maintain Human Relations website For more information and application procedure visit http://achieve.lausd.net/adminservices
