General Front Office and School Safety Crew Support

Purpose Statement:

The job of General Front Office and School Safety Crew Support is done for the purpose/s of assisting the Albert Einstein Academies with a variety of attendance, clerical, organizational, and safety-related duties as well as student supervision functions and other duties as assigned by Principal or Supervisor.


The General Front Office and School Safety Crew Support has as the primary purpose the safe, efficient, compassionate, compliant and organized functioning of the AEA Front Office and will assist at designated times with the supervision and safety of children in the lunch arbor.


The General Front Office and School Safety Crew Support must serve as a welcoming, professional, and supportive front office information source for the Albert Einstein Academies (AEA) community.


Minimum Job Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent

CPR Certification

Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, spelling and vocabulary

Spanish Literacy Preferred (oral and written)



Knowledge:

  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft, Google Docs, Gmail, Powerschool, SchoolMint.  (Can be trained in the latter two.)

  • Positive reinforcement skills and supportive rapport with children.

  • Thorough understanding of AEA policies, practices, and philosophy.


Skills and Ability:  

  • Exercise equity, tact, patience, kindness and positive attitude.

  • Remain energetic and enthusiastic about children..

  • Be reliable in attendance and execution of duties.

  • Follow oral and written instructions.

  • Establish and maintain friendly, cooperative and effective working relationships.

  • Maintain objectivity, confidentiality, and respect when interacting with AEA community.  



Essential Functions:

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Collect and monitor attendance data from teachers on a day to day and long term basis.

  • Run attendance reports from Powerschool.

  • Input attendance of absent and tardy students.

  • Monitor attendance of frequently absent and tardy students for purposes of initiating the Student Attendance Review Board (SARB) procedures.

  • Clearly and articulately communicate to and inform parents both by telephone and email.

  • Accurately answer parent questions in a kind and welcoming way.

  • Create and maintain accurate files, records, and reports.

  • Adhere to requirements for confidentiality regarding students’ records.

  • Discreetly handle sensitive information pertaining to staff, parents and students.

  • Assist teachers with varying needs that require front office support.

  • Greet and monitor parents to ensure they sign into campus and have prior permission to be on site.

  • Be aware of and consistently implement all AEA site lunch area rules and regulations.  

  • Supervise and monitor students during assigned lunch area supervision periods.

  • Utilize appropriate disciplinary procedures and techniques in accordance with the AEA

             site discipline plan.

  • Assist with opening and closing of school gates as needed.

  • Administer first aid and medications to students when site level staff is unavailable.

  • Other duties as assigned by Principal or Supervisor.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions and noise levels which is usually moderate but can get loud on occasion.
