Requirements / Qualifications
Required Experience must be in a public school setting: • Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated and must be able to provide verification of vaccination status as part of the hiring and onboarding process prior to an official offer of employment to any District site • Eight years of successful full-time public school district certificated service • A minimum of three years of experience as a teacher in a K-12 program • A minimum of two years of experience in an elementary school • Two years of service in a position that required and utilized an administrative credential, such as assistant principal or equivalent position Minimum Requirements include: A valid California teaching credential requiring a Bachelor's degree and a program of professional preparation, including student teaching A valid California Administrative Services Credential Master’s degree from an accredited college or university Multicultural coursework* Master Plan coursework*

Playa del Rey Elementary School is a Cotsen school that serves approximately 275 students in grades TK-5, including a Resource Specialist, a PAL program and many enrichment classes funded by the parent booster club. Playa del Rey has a student body comprised of 45% Hispanic, 18% White, 12% African American, 5% Asian, 2% Filipino, 14% with 2 or more/other Ethnicities, and 7% are English Learners, 12% students with disabilities and over 10% are identified as Gifted and Talented.
