Requirements / Qualifications

Requirements / Qualifications

A master’s degree from an accredited university or college in clinical counseling (MFT, MSW, PCC) or any related counseling degree; registration with the state Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and working towards licensure are required. A current Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential in school counseling or school psychology issued from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) is preferred. Experience working with students and families in a school district or county office, experience facilitating group therapy, experience working with “at – risk” or special education students, Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Experience working with the deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) population, proficiency in American Sign Language, is desired.

A valid California driver’s license, letter of introduction, resume, two letters of recommendation, copy of transcripts, and copy of valid and current BBS registration must be attached to your Edjoin application. Must show proof of First Aid & CPR Certification with the first year of working.
