SALARY RANGE:  $15.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE

Olin Virtual Academy is an accredited online, non-profit public charter High School serving grades

9^th-12^th in the Los Angeles, Orange, Kern, Ventura, and San Bernardino Counties. 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The school Information Technology Technician responds to and will be the first level of support for all technology hardware, software, server and network related problems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with IT helpdesk answering calls or emails for IT service.
• Must be able to drive to various sites as needed to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.
• Install, configure and upgrade computer hardware, peripherals and software.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain hardware, peripherals and software systems.
• Provide technical support to school staff and school sponsored technology provided to students.
• Perform preventative maintenance on school technology equipment.
• Provide technology assistance to staff and students for support of student centered learning.
• Offer technical support via phone or email
• Deploy computer equipment and provide user support for the initial training on equipment and software

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school Diploma or its equivalent. Ability to work well independently and with others; Strong Communication skills and able to handle multiple tasks; 3 years IT experience in an educational setting; Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Must be able to clear the school’s fingerprinting process through the DOJ.

Valid California driver’s license and clearance/approval from corporate auto insurer

Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to sit at a workstation for long periods of time

Must be able to lift twenty five (25) pounds

Must be able to drive long distances in an automobile
