1) Required knowledge, skills & abilities: • Knowledge of child cognitive development and different learning styles. • Demonstrated commitment to students and learning • Experience with students grades K-12 • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively and interact effectively with different audiences • Excellent organization, time management and follow-up skills; high sense of urgency; demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple cases concurrently • Ability to work as a part of a team • Demonstrates ability to adjust to and use new approaches in the performance of his/her duties • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing conditions; ability and good judgment to take initiative to modify activities. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with general education and special education colleagues, parents and community. • Ability to work independently as a self-starter • Ability to work with an ethnically and economically diverse student body. 2) Minimum educational level: • Master’s Degree in Counseling, School Psychology, Social Work or related discipline • PPS Credential or MFT Licensure or LCSW Licensure 3) Experience required: • 5 + years working with students that receive Special Education Services • Trained in a variety of social-emotional curriculums to assist with student IEP programming and development
