The K-8 Instructional Technology TSA works with the Instructional Technology Coordinator and other school and district staff, teachers and administrators to:

increase staff and student use of technology to support instruction and learning

provide trainings, coaching and professional development

collaborate with teachers in lesson and unit development incorporating technology

model lessons using technology effectively and efficiently in support of core curriculum

provide and evaluate data from online/software programs being used for instruction

Essential characteristics:

familiarity with Common Core and ISTE/NETS standards

experience with GAFE and other online tools

experience teaching 6th-8th grade and/or strong interest in working with middle school students and teachers

ability to collaborate with a wide range of educators, those who are early adopters of instructional technology and those who are more cautious

classroom teaching experience and a joy of working with students

experience and skill in writing and teaching lessons which integrate instructional technology into all content areas

skills in providing professional development for staff and resources/workshops for famiies

disposition to explore digital tools for teaching and learning

knowledge of best practices to support English Learners and RTI students
