Qualification for employment includes completion of on line training in the following areas: *New Employee Training *Preventing Workplace Violence *Bloodborne Pathogens *Sexual Harassment *Child Abuse/Mandated Reporter Upon offer of employment, candidates will receive information and directions regarding this training. Applicants must possess a valid California teaching credential or 30 Day Substitute Teaching Permit. A Multiple Subject Credential or Single Subject Credential is preferred.
All applicants wishing to apply must submit all materials listed below through the Edjoin website:
- Copy of Transcript (Showing Bachelor's degree or higher)
- Credential Copy (Valid California teaching credential or 30 Day Substitute permit)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Reference (Please attached three (3) letters, dated within two (2) years)
- Resume
- TB Screening Result (Current TB test verifying a negative result dated within one year)
- Test Results/Materials (CBEST test scores)

*PLEASE NOTE: All Applicants will be required to submit a current TB Test and pass a Live Scan.
The cost of the Live Scan with our district is $53.00 in the form of a money order once you have been contacted by our H.R. department.
The pay for substitute teachers holding a 30 Day Substitute Teaching Permit is $145.00 per day.
The pay for substitute teachers holding a valid California Teaching Credential is $145.00 per day, the rate will increase to $165.00 per day upon the 31st consecutive day in the same assignment. Substitute teachers with a valid California teaching credential; after 90 consecutive days in the same assignment the rate shall be Step 1, Column 1 of the Teachers Salary Schedule for substitute teachers with a valid California teaching credential.
